There will be no curbside refuse and recycling pickup on Independence Day, Friday, July 4; it will occur the following day.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Connecticut Chapter has named Deputy Mayor Paul Montinieri a 2008 MS Corporate Achiever - one of only 12 leaders within the Hartford region to be so named.

Representatives from Vision Appraisal Technology, a firm hired by the Town of Wethersfield to assist in the town wide revaluation project for the October 1, 2008 Grand List, began collecting data from residential and commercial properties the week of December 3rd.
As of June 9, data collectors have been working south of Prospect Street. Once initial data collection has been completed, work will still continue in that area.
A draft "Old Wethersfield Master Plan" document, dated April, 2008, has been received and is available for download on the Preserve America Steering Committee page. Town staff and the Steering Committee welcome comments on the draft plan, which may be submitted through a form on that page.
At a Special Meeting of the Wethersfield Town Council, held on Monday, May 12, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. at the Pitkin Community Center, 30 Greenfield Street, the following motions were made and voted upon. All Councilors were present and all voted; Councilor Console by conference call.
