Revaluation Update

Representatives from Vision Appraisal Technology, a firm hired by the Town of Wethersfield to assist in the town wide revaluation project for the October 1, 2008 Grand List, began collecting data from residential and commercial properties the week of December 3rd.

As of June 9, data collectors have been working south of Prospect Street. Once initial data collection has been completed, work will still continue in that area.

The data collectors will have two photo IDs and a letter from the Assessor's Office. A description of the data collector's motor vehicle and license plate numbers are on file with the Police Department, (860) 721-2900.

Assessor Chandler Rose suggests that homeowners request identification before granting anyone permission to enter your home.

Additional information on the revaluation project may be found on the Assessor's web page, and if you have further questions please contact the Assessor's Office at (860) 721-2810.
