Police
The Wethersfield Police Department is state and nationally accredited, and operates from a state-of-the-art facility at 250 Silas Deane Highway. In addition to normal police service, the department maintains a Marine Patrol Unit, Special Response Teams (Dive Team and Tactics), a School Resource Officer (SRO) at the High School and Middle School, DARE Youth Drug Awareness Program, a Motorcycle Unit, a Bicycle Unit and a Police Cadet Program.
