The Central Connecticut Health District would like to invite residents to attend their second annual vegetable gardening and cooking classes. Classes will be taught by Master Gardener Barry Avery and Chef Jeffrey Vecchitto on Monday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pitkin Community Center, 30 Greenfield Street. Dates are as follows:

• Monday, April 21st (Gardening course)
• Monday, April 28th (Gardening course)
• Monday, May 5th (Gardening course)
• Monday, May 12th (Cooking course)
