7,000 people are expected on the Broad Street Green
on Saturday, September 20th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the Wethersfield Chamber of Commerce's 30th annual Cornfest.
Back for
2014 will be Black-Eyed Sally’s with its award winning BBQ, Maple Giant
Grinder serving their famous arancinis and meatballs, UNICO with
Village Pizza, delicious Kettle Corn, and much more. "I Made It" catering
will be introducing special kids meals to help parents, and more food
vendors are signing up daily. For the bakers out there, sign up for the
“Best Apple Pie Contest” with celebrity judges.
For the young and young-at-heart there will be inflatable rides, a pumpkin patch, pony rides, hay rides and kids activities including a
photo booth and dunk tank. Witness Wethersfield’s up-and-coming
musical acts and dancers, cheer on the WHS Band, and enjoy a great day
of entertainment on two stages!
Free this year will be the Connecticut Child
Identification Program (CHIP) for all kids under age 18. Parents will
go home with a convenient pack of proven identification methods to help
locate your child should he or she go missing.
