The Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) will be conducting nighttime milling and resurfacing work on a 3.15 mile segment of Rte. 175 in Wethersfield (Wells Road) and Newington (East Cedar Street).
The milling segment of this project is scheduled to be performed Monday, September 8 to Friday, September 12, 2014 with work occurring between the hours of 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed Sunday, September 14 to Monday, September 22, 2014 between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Motorists can expect lane closures on Rte. 175 from the Silas Deane Highway to Hawley Street, Newington. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in the vicinity.
